Six Centuries Zine
As mentioned in the previous post about the Beyond the Boundaries exhibition, the intention was to have a number of QR codes alongside the images to allow the viewer to experience the digital as well as the physical. This e-zine would have been one of the elements the codes would have taken them to.
Similar to Algorithmic Imagination this is a non-narrative piece. Fragments of text sit alongside the images. In some cases they are clearly recognisable but others have something curious about them. Throughout the zine the creations of humans are juxtaposed with those of a machine. I see this a starting point for my next body of work. An exploration of not only my own digital afterlife but a recognition that I am living in the digital afterlives of others. I have endeavoured to create a dialogue between past, present and future.
